DeCook Landscaping has been at it’s current location for over 12 years. An old dairy barn was sitting on the property being unused. It was filled with old concrete floors, straw bales and a black cat! We saw the potential of the wasted space and the wheels started turning about a Garden Center! “The Plant Shack” was the original name given to the space years ago. It was a pergola where we housed a small amount of plants and shrubs for jobs, but knew as we grew as a company, we wanted to be on a bigger scale with plants available on the property to eliminate a lot of travel time and resources in getting plants on a daily/weekly basis. And if we were going to expand our plant inventory for our own use, then why not open to the public for retail!
Opening a Garden Center had always been a dream of ours here and we finally turned it into a reality! Some of our landscape crew members worked through the winter removing the old floor and installing pavers, cleaning and sealing the walls, building our register table and any other odd jobs we asked them to do! THEY WERE THE BEST!! New windows and doors were installed and fresh coats of paint to the interior and exterior were added. Two greenhouses were added to the grounds and have since been filled with Spring and Fall annuals. While we waited for the weather to warm up, we filled the inside of the barn with garden tools and essentials, along with an array of home décor and house plants! We went back and forth on what we should name the Garden Center, and “The Plant Shack” would always pop back up to the top of the list, so we went with it! We would love for you all to stop out and say Hi! Twin sisters Melissa and Sam who head up the operation are always up for a conversation!!!
1 Year Limited Warrant On Plant Material
Items covered include full price trees and shrubs planted by DeCook Landscaping. Perennials and annuals are not included in the warranty. We reserve the right to alter this policy at any time. All plant refunds will be issued as store credit in the form of a gift card. In order to receive credit a proof of purchase, (receipt), and root system, or remaining growth of the plant must be presented to DeCook Landscaping.
Returns

We will accept returns for unused and undamaged products for store credit only. NO CASH REFUNDS. Returns must be within 30 days of the original purchase and must include a receipt. Store credit will be in the form of a gift card for the price of the purchased item. We take pride in checking or products for damage at time of display. Please inspect your product before purchasing. If you receive a damaged or defective item you must contact us within 3 days of the purchase date on the receipt, NO EXCEPTIONS.
